Janice Andersen, a Democrat hoping to take the state House seat vacated by John Harkins, who’s the new mayor of Stratford, filed a campaign-finance report with the State Elections Enforcement Commission that indicates a modest $3,847 raised, with about $2,915 on hand going into next month’s special election. Anyway, contributors have to list their employers and occupations. Nestled on line 88 is a a $100 check from Jim Miron, the erstwhile first mayor of the town who lost to Harkins in November. Under the line that requires an “employer,” the former pistol-packing mayor has listed “God” and under “occupation,” he wrote “None.”

Is there any doubt that he is nuts!

Anyone who takes a donation or endorsement from Miron will never win. He or she is very foolish. Laura Hoydick is the candidate who deserves our support. I have known Laura since she was a little girl and she was always the best. Laura is a very honorable and honest person, and she will make Stratford a shinning star. Laura will make us very proud and we need her in Hartford badly. So remember voting for Laura Hoydick is a win for Stratford She is her own person and no one owns Laura. That can’t be said for her opponent, who is receiving support from the disreputable and discredited Miron regime, which did so much harm to our town for all seasons.

It is worth noting that in Ms. Andersen’s previous debates with Dan Debicella, in my opinion, she won the debate in a walk. Mr. Debicella clearly had no idea about health coverage other than benefiting insurance companies. Sadly, at the time, Ms. Andersen had to carry the weight of Miron and the DTC. That is an impossible task for any politician.
With Richard Miron still on the DTC, Ms. Andersen still has a lot to overcome. She should send the $100 back where it came from.

I also work for God–I’ve never seen Jim Miron at the workshop or factory or as an apprentice stone cutter !!
