Who’s Busier Than Fairfield Probate Judge (and Siting Council Chairman) Dan Caruso?

Judge Daniel F.Caruso, during a ceremony tomorrow morning in the state Supreme Court chamber, will become the president of the Connecticut Probate Assembly, taking over from Shelton Probate Judge Fred J. Anthony. It’s a big time for change, as the probate system prepares to shrink for a leaner 21st century, with fewer judge positions up for election in the fall. The ceremony will include remarks from Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers, Comptroller Nancy Wyman, Chief Probate Court Administrator Paul Knierim and Anthony, the outgoing leader of the assembly.

So did the chairmanship of the controversial, complicated Siting Council prepare Caruso, a 52-year-old former member of the state House of Representatives, to lead the Probate Assembly into its new era?
