Larry DeNardis, the former state senator, congressman and University of New Haven president, has filed a first-quarter report with the State Elections Enforcement Commission that indicates modest fund raising and even more-modest expenses. In the three months ending March 31, DeNardis raised $32,030 and spent $2,859.92. He has $29,170.08 on hand with the five weeks left before the Republican gubernatorial convention in Hartford.
His campaign notes that there was almost $38,000 raised during the exploratory committee phase, in addition to the March report.
