| A bill – SB 365 – that would have allowed cities and towns to quietly post requests for bids on their municipal Web sites, away from the eyes and scrutiny of general readers who buy newspapers, died yesterday in a 9-11 vote in the legislative Planning and Development Committee. The bill was the recent target of a media campaign by the Connecticut Daily Newspapers Association. |
