Yes, he may have to show his teeth if he’s to win the August 10 GOP gubernatorial primray, but this afternoon, R. Nelson “Oz” Griebel of Simsbury visited the Southport Brewing Co. down there where Fairfield morphs into Westport and where Frank DelGreco, the manager/brewer, explained to him that a recent, sensible state law allows brew pubs like his to sell half-gallon jugs called growlers, to go. Griebel, who grew up in New Jersey and was unaware of the concept of growlers, recalled a summer job long ago in “quality control” at the old Ballantine brewery in Newark.

I’m not too sure what this blog has much to do with politics, but at least there’s some coverage about Griebel. I mean I’ve heard about him through the debate, which I was impressed with, but I want to hear more. I guess he’s adjusting to his new set of “growling” teeth.

Well, at least he seems like a character. I’ll definitely look forward to hearing more about him.
