Healy, Foley, Reviewing Their Voting Statistics and Plotting Strategies For Next Week

Republican State Central Chairman Chris Healy and gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley continued their evaluations of statewide vote totals on Saturday.

Neither is expected to have an announcement on what may be pursued in the wake of an Election Night that resulted in erroneous totals released by Democratic Secretary of the State and “official” results that changed several times until Friday night, when Democrat Dan Malloy emerged with a seemingly insurmountable lead of 5,637 votes over Foley.

“We’re evaluating our reports from the field and the ongoing information we’re getting on paper ballots, not only from Bridgeport but around the state,” Healy said in a phone interview.   “We’re actively doing our forensic analys and finding a lot of things,” said Foley, who needs to be within 2,000 votes to trigger an automatic recount, in a phone interview.

“We have teams all over the state digging into what happened,” he said. “We should be able to take the secretary of the state’s word for it, but she’s being very partisan.”
