Malloy finally drops the green ties. Election must be over.

Governor-elect Dannel Malloy, wearing a burgundy-colored tie for a massive change, just finished a news conference with the Capitol Press Corps, describing his conversation with Tom Foley and his initial plans to grapple with the state budget. Then he took some questions.

Blogster: “Why did you lose the green tie?”

Malloy: “Because I won. I got into the car this morning… actually early this afternoon and I had already decided it was time to change colors. So I’m happy it all worked out this way. We’re currently having discussions about what to do with all those green ties I wore from May 1st until the last time I wore a tie was in this room. So most of those ties, we’re going to figure out what to do with them, maybe a charitable donation or auctions or something like that. Now that’s not to say I won’t wear green ties. I will. I just won’t wear them every day.”
