Who are the new kids roaming the Capitol? Say welcome to the incoming legislative freshmen

Kim Fabrizio, director of Capitol inforamtion and tours, is shepherding about 15 newbies around the Capitol complex. They are winners of their recent legislative elections. They are becoming acquainted with the historic building and learning the difference between the Genius of Connecticut statute and their reflections in the mirrors of the men’s and women’s rooms. Representative-elect Brenda Kupchick, the Fairfield Republican who defeated state Rep. Tom Drew in a recount, is walking around with a smile, knowing a lot of what goes on in the Capitol because of her job with the Senate Republicans that she will shed for the big bucks ($28,000 a year) when she takes office Jan. 5.
