A “naked” Malloy puts on his tourist clothing

Gov. Dannel Malloy said today that Connecticut has returned to New England, having committed to paying into the pool for regional advertising. “Yeah, I just got sworn in two weeks ago and we’re back in New England,” Malloy said to reporters this afternoon in a Cromwell hotel after addressing the Council of Small Towns. The state had let its membership lapse in the waning year of the Rell administration, so we were embarrassingly left out of a “visit New England” campaign.

“I was feeling a little naked out there, not being part of New England anymore,” Malloy said with a grin. “All that geography I learned in grammar school was going out the door.”
