Rep. O’Neill, in some sit-down comedy, gets the Redistricting Committee off to a laughing start

Rep. Arthur J. O’Neill, R-Southbury, the last sitting member of the Legislature who participated in the 2004 impeachment panel that led to John G. Rowland’s resignation, is now a member of the new redistricting committee. He is the lone member who also served on the 2001 panel. The Blogster is deeply concerned about what might be O’Neill’s threshold for side-splitting knee slappers.

“This is my second time doing this and I can assure all of you it’s exciting and it can also be a great deal of fun,” he told the bipartisan committee with a grin.

“That’s…ah…worth contemplating,” said Senate President Pro Tempore Don Williams, D-Brooklyn, who will co-chair the panel with House Minority Leader Larry Cafero, R-Norwalk.
