Gov. Dannel Malloy will join three other Democratic governors to talk jobs with union officials in D.C.

 On Friday, Gov. Dannel Malloy and several Democratic governors will be meeting with the heads of labor unions, during a policy summit at the Hanover, MD training facility of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Officials from the Democratic Governors Association said the discussion will center on “best practices for job creation in the states, as well the contrasting approaches Democratic and Republican governors have taken towards balancing budgets and helping workers during tough economic times.” Malloy will join Govs. Martin O’Malley of Maryland, Brian Schweitzer of Montana and Pat Quinn of Illinois during the noontime event.
