Nora Dannehy, who helped expose Rowland corruption that sent him to prison, to leave AG’s office for UTC

Deputy Attorney General Nora Dannehy, who as a federal prosecutor won a 2004 guilty plea that sent John G. Rowland to prison for corruption while governor, will leave the role of Attorney General George Jepsen’s top assistant at the end of the month to accept a job at United Technologies. Jepsen this afternoon announced that Perry Zinn Rowthorn of West Hartford will become his new deputy. Zinn Rowthorn  is currently Associate Attorney General for Litigation. Current Associate Attorney General for Administration and Management Margaret Q. Chapple of Granby will assume the position of Associate Attorney General for Litigation.

“Both Perry Zinn Rowthorn and Peggy Chapple have provided dedicated service to state of Connecticut and this office for many years,” Jepsen said in a statement. “As Associate for Litigation, Perry has brought critical and thoughtful oversight to the office’s litigation practice. Time and again, Peggy Chapple has proved herself a capable and intelligent litigator and an effective leader. I have every confidence in their abilities, and I’m pleased to name them to these new roles within my administration.”
