State officials mark National Teen Driver Safety Week

At this hour high school students in Middletown and driver-safety advocates are making a presentation to entire student body at Mercy High School in Middletown, marking National Teen Driver Safety Week.
 Students from the DMV Commissioner's Advisory Committee on Teen Safe Driving, along with Attorney General George Jepsen, DMV Commissioner Melody A. Currey, the Governor's Highway Safety Office and a trauma surgeon from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center are among the participants.
 Motor vehicle crashes are the primary cause of death for adolescents, who are involved in fatal crashes at four times the rate of adult.
