Metro-North and Consolidated Edison officials this morning were contrite during a U.S. Senate field hearing in Bridgeport City Hall, led by U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
“At Metro-North, our goal as to provide as much service as possible as soon as possible,” said Howard Permut, president of the commuter railroad. ConEd President Craig Ivey: “We clearly recognize the hardships that have been endured…We regret the circumstances that led to the distruption…”
