James E. Dzurenda of Stratford breezed through the screening process today in the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee, earning a unanimous endorsement. The nomination will come before the Senate for final action as early as next week. Why doesn’t the House have to act? Because it is a Senate resolution. Dzurenda, who started his career at the Bridgeport Correctional Center in 1987, was supported at the hearing by his wife and four kids.
