Education commissioner admits: What’s in a name?

State Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor today agreed to drop the use of the word “turnaround” to describe a particular strata of troubled magnet schools. Andrea Stillman, D-Waterford, co-chairman, to reach a personal existential crisis in the age of school reforms. “I guess I’m becoming leery of new terminology for everything,” she told Pryor, during a hearing on proposed legislation.
