Ken Bernhard, former member of state House from Westport, will serve on Public Defender’s Commission

G. Kenneth Bernhard of Westport, a principal with the law firm of Cohen & Wolf, PC.,  has been appointed to the Connecticut Public Defender’s Commission by Senator John Mc Kinney, the Connecticut Senate Minority Leader. The Commission oversees the Connecticut Public Defender’s Office.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve in this important role and to be a part of a system that protects the Constitutional rights of our citizens.” Bernhard was Westport’s state representative from 1997 to 2006 and has served on other state boards. He is currently town attorney for Wilton and has served similar roles for Westport and Weston.He has also taught American Constitutional Law in law schools around the world. He is currently co-chairman of the Connecticut League of Constitutional Voters.
