Osborne Homestead Museum in Derby will open May 3

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today set May 3 for the opening of the 31st season for visitors to the Osborne Homestead Museum in Derby, featuring free guided tours of the Colonial Revival home of the arts supporter/conservationist. Visitors may also walk on the grounds and gardens, which are adjacent to the forests and meadows of Osbornedale State Park. On Sunday June 22, the homestead will also host a version of the statewide Historic Gardens Day, from noon until 4 p.m. More information is available at the DEEP calendar: http://www.depdata.ct.gov/calendar .
