A special election where the hopes (and dreams) of the GOP minority met

Rep. Themis Klarides, R-Derby, just introduced the 54th member of the House minority, Tami Zawistowski, who won last week’s special election for the 61st District vacancy. “We believe slow but steady wins the race,” Klarides said to the members of the Appropriations Committee. If you’re scoring at home, it’s 96-54 in the House  now, pending a special election for the House seat vacated by now-Sen. Gary Holder Winfield.
