Access Health CT launches mobile app

Access Health CT, the state’s health exchange under the federal Affordable Care Act, has launched the nation’s first mobile application for consumers to research coverage options. It’s free. “We’re excited to offer the mobile app as another way for consumers to connect and enroll with Access Health CT,” said Kevin Counihan, chief executive officer of Access Health CT. “During the 2014 open enrollment period, 25 percent of consumers accessed our website from a mobile device. This app will make it much easier for consumers to compare and shop on-the-go and will be another tool for our residents, brokers and outreach workers to assist people in their communities.”

The app is free from the Apple iTunes App Store for iOS 6 or later. It will be downloadable beginning on Friday, June 6th from the Google Play Store for Androids 2.3 or later. More information about is available at www.accesshealthct.com.
