Artillery salute planned for Malloy’s inaugural

boom4Among the festivities celebrating Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s second inaugural – soaring deficits, departing state commissioners, a formal, $200-a-head ball, a swearing in at the State Armory – is a military artillery salute on the south lawn of the Capitol, across from the State Library and Supreme Court building. It will aim down Capitol Avenue, between the Bushnell and the State Office Building on January 7.   (Photos by Dixon, from 2001 commemoration of the start of the Civil War)boom
