HARTFORD – Hours after Gov. Dannel P. Malloy told minority Republican leaders that he is eager to get suggestions for deficit solutions both long and short-term, he announced $31.5 million in spending cuts in the current budget.
It amounts to about a quarter of the $120 million shortfall that has occurred in recent months.
