Malloy, at White House, named to new post

boom4No, he’s not moving to Washington. Malloy was named by the White House to become co-chairman of the Council of Governors, a bi-partisan council of 10 governors selected by the President for two-year terms.

This from Malloy’s office: “The Council is intended to serve as a forum for discussion of National Guard and homeland defense issues, including cybersecurity, that advises the White House and U.S. national security leadership. It’s also designed to strengthen the partnership between the federal and state governments on these matters. Originally created by the National Defense Authorization Act for 2008,  it was established by Executive Order in 2010. You can find more information about it here: “http://www.nga.org/cms/CoG
