Here’s the governor’s executive order:

When new laws turn back the clock on progress, we can’t sit idly by. We are sending a message that discrimination won’t be tolerated. -DM

The Blogster wants to know if Gov Malloy’s impending executive order will ban state employees from attending the NCAA final. As defending champs, it’s a sure bet that UConn has some tickets. So Coach Kevin Ollie will have to pay his own way? Maybe the UConn Foundation can do it in secret, thanks to the General Assembly’s all-things-UConn support.
Last week Gov. Mike Pence of Hoosierland, under the guise of religious liberty, signed a bill allowing discrimination against gays and lesbians. The backlash has percolated over the weekend and now Malloy will issue an executive order banning state employees from traveling on the state’s dime to Indiana.
Of course, Ollie could afford his own travel, since he’s in the second year of a five-year contract that could pay him about $16 million.
