Three hours left before the Judiciary Committee’s 5 p.m. deadline and the majority Democrats are still in closed-door caucus. With a whopping 43-item agenda, there are going to be dozens of bills dying on the vine. Will one of the dead bills be the ban on those convicted of public malfeasance from seeking elective office?
