Coming up with your custom labels is a great way to commemorate your 25th year in business. I love that each bottles also proudly displays tidbits of the store's history. Congratulations!

FYI: The International Association of Fire Fighters is opposed to the siting of cell towers on fire department facilities, as adopted by its membership in August 2004, "until a study with the highest scientific merit and integrity on health effects of exposure to low-intensity RF/MW radiation is conducted and it is proven that such sitings are not hazardous to the health of our members."

These studies still have not been done.

Anecdotally, in the fifties you could check the fit of your shoes at the local Buster Brown shoe store, by putting your foot in their handy x-ray machine. As you so eloquently put it, science only knows what it knows at the moment.

I hate to say this, but I can't stand Di Masters.

It sounds like she is still in campaign mode when she ran against John Frey:

"Has your position as selectman affected your role as executive director?

This place is an engine for economic development for town, and in my role on the board of selectmen, I know what the economic drivers of the town are. It’s very important for me to get the community aware of the house’s history, proud of it, and involved in it—then we can use the house as an economic engine."

How exactly is the Community Center an economic engine? This is laughable. And she knows what the economic drivers are? Then why hasn't she helped the town's economy. Point to one thing, please. Look at all the empty storefronts, Di. Wouldn't a 'driver' be a new owner of the Schlumberger property?

And she saved $11k in energy costs. That's great. A good start would be not using energy when the place is not rented.

I think she USED her BOS position with the tax bill insert pleading for money. In my 38 years here, I never have seen that done for any other non-profit. Coincidence -- or using her elected position to personally financially benefit?

As a United Methodist, I find this article amazingly encouraging. Oh that our church had the problems they have! I was particularly struck by one of the ending comments "If you feel like you belong, then you’ll begin to believe." ...amazing!

Giving back has always been a part of our family 'chores' or structure. We have seen excellent results in our boys who are now in their young adulthood. Now that our daughters are teen agers, they have also been active in giving back. Scouts have always been a great source of opportunities for us. Now it is GREAT to see an organization like yours set up specifically for moms and daughters.

It helps to have groups available since raising teens can be as difficult as nailing jello to tree. Glad to see you are around and active.
