  1. Kevin, what qualifies a track athlete to make all state? dont you need to win your class meet or win state opens?

  2. Kevin,

Your doing a tremendous job. I particularly enjoyed your pieces on the top 25 athletes in the area and the top area high school sports program. Permit me to suggest that you or someone at the News times write a feature on Matt Barnes, the Bethel native who had a stellar year pitching for UConn. I also understand that Matt is currently trying out for team USA and according to all accounts has put himself in a great position to make the team.
    Keep up the great work.

  3. Nick Paez is quite the ball player too, don’t forget about him. And although Brookfield hasn’t showed us anything..ever, don’t count them out JUST yet.

  5. Kevin,

Why does it seem so little is ever posted about Bethel sports?
Last year we had the state runner up football team, a very strong baseball team, as you know this year we will have a strong basketball program, American Legion baseball teams placed in the states… It seems like the News Times should move to Southbury to become the Southbury News Times.

  6. Kevin,
I can’t tell you how pleased -though not at all surprised-I am that you stuck with sports journalism and made it your career. You are doing what you love and doing it very, very well. Bravo.

  7. Kevin, You are doing a fabulous job. Loved the column in today’s (11/4/10) paper. My father would be very pleased with your success.

  8. That article about ryan toussiant, though not badly written, seemed purposeless.

Your articles are awful and most of the time very foolish.. you have driven my family (12 year suscribers) to stop are subscription to the news times. I still read online every now and then to laugh at your thoughts and lack of knowledge in the area’s you choose to write, so please take your time else where and stop ruining what was a very enjoyable newspaper to read.
