What this district needs is some poetry…

… and Ron Rapice, a teacher of the gifted stationed at Roosevelt School in Bridgeport, is aiming to deliver it.

                                                                                                                                                                                                

For the third straight year, Rapice is launching its Words on Wheels contest, open to city students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The chosen poems will be put on city buses.

Here are the rules:

All forms of poetry accepted but poems should be kept to 5 to 10 lines only.

Entries should include: student name, school, grade and teacher

Submissions should be emailed as word documents only (no pdfs)

The deadline is April 5th

Winners will be announced May 6th at the

SPEAK Bridgeport Poet’s Cafe
