Bridgeport Public Education Fund to host son of Thurgood Marshall

219BRIDGEPORT – In recognition of the 60th Anniversary of Brown v Board of Education, the Bridgeport Public Education Fund will host John W. Marshall, the younger of Thurgood Marshall’s two sons at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 17,  2014, at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn.

Marshall was the nation’s first African-American Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, and the lead attorney in Brown vs. Board of Education. Marshall will detail his father’s role in our nation’s civil rights movement and his place in American history.
