Results of Elena Delle Donne’s blood test came back clear today. She said she will undergo an ultrasound on her spleen Friday and could be cleared to begin playing again Saturday.
Elena has been sidelined for the past several weeks with mononucleosis. She has played only one game this season, scoring 33 points in a win over Archbishop Ryan (Pa.) in the season opener Dec. 8 to become Delaware’s high school girls basketball all-time leading scorer.
Caroline Doty, who is also at the game tonight, said she bent her surgically repaired left knee 149 degrees during a rigorous rehab session today. She hopes to be back playing again by May or June.
