UConn announced today that the game against No. 7 North Carolina Jan. 9 at Gampel Pavilion is sold out. It will be the first sellout at the venue since Feb. 23, 2008 against St. John’s on Senior Day.
Also, less than 300 tickets remain for the game against No. 3 Notre Dame at Gampel Pavilion Jan. 16.
Just a reminder … Due to the fact that tomorrow is Christmas Eve I will instead be going my live chat Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. Hope to see you there.

My wife and I were at yesterday’s game. We also recorded the game and watched it later (and will watch it again tonight).
When you get beyond coach speak, what did we see from Caroline and from Jayne Appel? What I saw was #5 working hard on defense and running the offense against the first real challenge the Huskies have had. Her stats were horrible and she had a two or three reach-in fouls. But it seems that she got more grief than she deserved.
Tina thoroughly outplayed Appel. Was she just not yet ready to run with the Huskies because of her knee, or is Tina that much better? And keep in mind that Jayne got two of her 12 points just as the first half was ending and four more during garbage time, when Stanford was carving back an 18 or 20 point lead.
