Coach Geno Auriemma will auction his game-worn ties from the final nine games this season beginning tonight when UConn hosts No. 11 West Virginia at the XL Center (7). All proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
The ties will be auctioned off on EBay at the start of each game, with the links available at www.GenosCancerTeam.com immediately following tip-off. Each individual auction will last one week following the conclusion of each game.
All of the ties up being auctioned were donated by Mitchell’s of Westport.
The dates for the remainder of the games are as follows: Sunday at Louisville, noon; Feb. 10 at DePaul, 8 p.m.; Feb. 13 vs. St. John’s, 5 p.m.; Feb. 15 at Oklahoma, 9 p.m.; Feb. 20 vs. Providence, 1 p.m.; Feb. 24 at Syracuse, 7 p.m.; Feb. 27 vs. Georgetown, noon; and March 1 at Notre Dame, 7 p.m.
