Junior guard Caroline Doty will undergo surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee Aug. 31 at the UConn Health Center in Farmington. The procedure will be performed by team doctor Robert Arciero.
This will be the third time since Oct. 23, 2007 that Doty has been forced to have the ACL in her left knee repaired. She will miss the 2010-11 season, but she has two years of eligibility remaining in her career.
