SNY Announces Live Streaming Packages For 2012-13 Season

One of the biggest questions that had been raised since SNY acquired the rights to broadcast UConn women’s basketball games was would the network provide live streaming. The answer was revealed Thursday, and it is a resounding “Yes.’’

SNY has announced that fans can purchase a subscription for its online streaming package at beginning Oct. 15. A full-season package will cost $59.95. A monthly package will cost $19.95.

The service will launch Nov. 11th when the Huskies host the College of Charleston at Gampel Pavilion in the season opener at 1:30 p.m.

The live streaming package will feature online streaming access to SNY’s 20-game schedule; in-game highlights; archived games available On-Demand, exclusive video features with UConn head coach Geno Auriemma; exclusive video features with UConn players; and player interviews and expert analysis from SNY’s on-air talent roster.

MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), which is SNY’s digital media partner, will provide its video streaming technology infrastructure to power MLBAM captures, encodes and distributes more live events than any other Internet company.
