UConn juniors Bria Hartley and Stefanie Dolson and sophomore Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis are among 30 players named to the John R. Wooden Award Women’s Preseason Top 30, The Los Angeles Athletic Club announced today. The Huskies are the only team to be represented by three players.
The selections are based on individual performance and team records from last season.
These players and others who excel throughout the season will be evaluated and considered for the midseason list in January and the official 20-player voting ballot that will be released in March. The National Ballot features elite players who have proven to their universities that they are also making progress toward graduation and maintaining at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
The five-player Wooden Award All-American Team will be announced the week of the Final Four.
