Mosqueda-Lewis Still Recovering From Concussion

Sophomore Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis will not practice today as she continues to recover from a concussion she sustained with 2:08 remaining in UConn’s 91-57 win over No. 14 Purdue Saturday in the championship game of the Paradise Jam.

Mosqueda-Lewis is listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s game against Colgate at the XL Center. She will continued to be evaluated on a daily basis.

Mike is right, why would you have a starter and player of her stature in a game already decided? Banks or Jefferson could use the time as young players. Remember Heather Buck? She is at the end of the bench coach and as a senior having spent five years at U Conn, give that kid a few minutes, it won’t kill you.

Why is she even in the game with 2 minutes left and up by 30?
