Chong Scores 41 To Lead Ossining Into N.Y. State Semifinals

UConn commit Saniya Chong had 41 points, five rebounds, six assists and seven steals to lead Ossining to a 79-50 win over Monroe-Woodbury Sunday in the N.Y. Class AA regional final, according to MSG Varsity and the Journal News. She also made nine 3-pointers for the Pride (20-4) and then posed for pictures with players from Monroe after the game.

Ossining moves on to the state semifinals where it will meet Sachem East Friday at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y. at 6:15 p.m.

Chong, who has 2,901 career points, has made a New York State Public High School Athletic Association single-season record 102 3-pointers this season. She made 100 last season, which represented the old record.
