Chong Leads Ossining To Class AA State Championship

UConn commit and tournament MVP Saniya Chong had 34 points to lead Ossining to an 86-69 win over Gates-Chili in the Class AA state final Saturday at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y., according to The Journal News. It was the first state championship in team history for the Pride (22-4).

  1. We Want EDD and Tennessee says:

As a UConn freshmen, hope Chong makes better decisions than seniors and juniors have shown this season. No matter how good she is, if Stokes, Tuck, and Hartley continue to have nagging injuries next season, it’s very possible UConn does not win the NC as some fans continue to predict. What a shame that EDD and Tennesse probably won’t be in UConn’s region.
