Junior center Stefanie Dolson said today that she practiced in full Friday and Saturday. This is a good sign heading into Sunday’s game against rival Notre Dame in the NCAA national semifinals at New Orleans Arena.
Dolson is battling a stress fracture in her right ankle and plantar fasciitis in her left foot.
“I’m practicing full, pretty much doing everything that they need me to in practice,’’ Dolson said. “And I’m feeling good.’’
Dolson has averaged 8.3 points and a team-high 8.5 rebounds in 22.8 minutes through the first four games of the tournament despite her ailments. She said that the five days between games this week have proven to be “very crucial, definitely.’’
“I’ve been treating my (right) leg a lot,’’ Dolson said.
