Senior Kelly Faris capped her career by earning a spot on the Final Four all-tournament team. It was fitting for a player who has worked so hard day in and day out to become the best player possible.
Faris was also recognized by the UConn Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes last week for her success in the classroom. She has earned over a 3.00 Grade Point Average and has been named to the Director of Athletics Honor Roll for seven consecutive semesters. She was also named to the Dean’s List for five semesters.
“She has contributed on the court, in the classroom and in the community. She exemplifies the role of a student athlete competing at the highest level academically and athletically,’’ the statement read.
