The U.S. women’s 3×3 team, featuring UConn Class of 2015 target Katie Lou Samuelson, won each of its three games during preliminary round play today at the FIBA 3×3 U-18 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia. Wins over Guam (21-2), Puerto Rico (21-2) and China (19-16) leave the U.S. tied with Lithuania atop the Group B standings.
Samuelson is joined by California commit Gabby Green, Arike Ogunbowale and Notre Dame commit Brianna Turner.
The U.S. will complete preliminary round play Saturday against Lithuania (6:20 a.m. EDT) and Spain (8:40 a.m. EDT).
