Four Huskies Named To Wooden Award Preseason Top 30

UConn senior All-Americans Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley, junior All-American Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and sophomore star Breanna Stewart have been named to the John R. Wooden Award Women’s Preseason Top 30, it was announced today by The Los Angeles Athletic Club. The list is based on last season’s individual performance and team records and is selected by a poll of national college women’s basketball media members.

The Wooden Award All American Team, consisting of the nation’s Top 5 players, will be announced the week of the Final Four in April.

Players that are not chosen to the preseason team remain eligible for both the midseason team and the National Ballot. The National Ballot consists of 20 players that have proven to their universities that they are also making progress toward graduation and maintaining at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Duke was the only other team with as many as three players on the list – Chelsea Gray, Tricia Liston and Elizabeth Williams.
