Ogunbowale, U.S. Roll Into Semifinals at U-17 Championship

UConn Class of 2015 target Arike Ogunbowale had 16 points and game-highs of eight rebounds and four steals to lead the U.S. to an 86-45 win over Canada today in the quarterfinals of the FIBA U-17 World Championship in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

The U.S. (5-0) will face Hungary (5-0) in the semifinals Saturday.

UConn 2015 commit Katie Lou Samuelson finished with 10 points and five rebounds, while Class of 2015 target Asia Durr added nine points, four rebounds and four assists.

UConn Class of 2016 targets Lauren Cox (six rebounds, game-high three blocks) and Sabrina Ionescu (two rebounds, four steals) each had six points. Class of 2015 commit De’Janae Boykin contributed four points and seven rebounds.
