The Connecticut Sun — as expected — have selected UConn center Tina Charles with the first pick in the 2010 WNBA draft. Charles just finished a perfect 39-0 season for the Huskies, scoring nine points in its 53-47 NCAA championship game win over Stanford. Charles finished her UConn career as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,346 points.
