The Bristol Press is reporting that a small lounge and gathering place for LGBT students has opened in the CCSU student center in New Britain.
Over a hundred people attended the opening of the new center on Wednesday as University President Jack Miller cut through the pale blue ribbon stretching across the bottom of the stairway leading from the TCC lounge to the third floor; the LGBT center occupies a small room off the third-floor common area. It’s a small room with a couple of comfortable chairs and two bookshelves filled with LGBT titles.
