Metro-North resumes service on main New Haven Line

Service on Metro-North Railroad’s New Haven Line — suspended since noontime Saturday because of Tropical Storm Irene — resumes its regular schedule Tuesday morning, according to an announcement from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

However, that applies only to the main line.

Service on the New Haven Line’s branches — New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury — remains suspended as of early-morning Tuesday.
