Fairfield Library in tune with St. Patrick’s Day

Expect Irish eyes — and ears — to be smiling Saturday at a program of traditional music in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day

Damian and Sally Connolly will perform Irish music Saturday -- St. Patrick's Day -- at the Fairfield Public Library.

Fairfielders Sally and Damian Connolly will perform Irish tunes from 3 to 4 p.m. in the new book area of the main library at Old Post and Post roads.

Sally will play flute, and Damian will play fiddle, accordion and guitar.

Damian Connolly hails from County Clare, Ireland, and has performed at Carnegie Hall, New York University and Boston College. Sally grew up in Easton in a home steeped in folk music.

The performance is free and open to the public.
