The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Disaster Recovery Center in Fairfield, which closed Dec. 19, has been transformed into a Disaster Loan Outreach Center. It is open, as was recovery center, at the Fairfield Senior Center 100 Mona Terrace.
The loan center is staffed by representatives from the Small Business Administration along with one FEMA representative. The new office will remain open until further notice and will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will be closed Christmas and New Year’s days.
Deadlines for filing applications for FEMA or SBA loans have been extended to Jan. 28, 2013.
