Fairfielders get to sound off April 2 to their congressman, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, D-4, at a Town Hall-style meeting where he wants to hear constituent concerns on issues facing Congress. The public is encouraged to attend.
“As Congress deliberates how best to accelerate job growth, reduce our national deficit, prevent future gun violence, and reform our immigration system, I want to hear your thoughts and ideas on these and the other important issues facing our nation,” Himes said in a statement. “Hearing from you makes me a better representative, and I hope all who are interested attend one of these meetings.”
The forum will take place at 7 p.m. in Sherman School on Fern Street.
Constituents are encouraged to RSVP by calling 1-866-453-0028 or going online at www.himes.house.gov in advance, although it is not required.
