Take me out to the ball park…without the traffic or high ticket prices! That’s what I love about the Bridgeport Bluefish games at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport. A great night out filled with family-friendly fun at the can’t-beat-it ticket price of $13.50 a pop for box seats and $25.00 for luxury seats. Their season home-opener is this Friday, April 26, at 7:05pm against the York Revolution.

But it’s not just about the game. This year, the Bluefish’s promotional schedule features seven fireworks extravaganzas and a special promotion for certain nights of the week. Each Monday during the 2013 baseball season will be 99.1 WPLR Feed Your Face Monday. For only $19.99, each fan will get “all you can eat and a seat”. Tuesday nights are Take it to the Bank Tuesday, presented by CitiBank and Star 99.9. Your advance ticket purchase can help a charity. New this season is the WEBE 108 & Big Y World Class Market Kids Eat Free Wacky Wednesday. Each Wednesday there will be a different wacky promotion. Also, on select Wednesday nights during the year, kids will eat free at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard. Every child (12 and under) will receive a voucher upon entering the stadium that can be redeemed for one hot dog, bag of chips and one 12 oz. fountain soda. Join the Bluefish every Thursday night for “Thirsty Thursday’s” presented by KC101, United Rentals and Budweiser. Half price adult beverages at the concession stands. Sunday’s at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard will be Star 99.9 & CHET 529 Sunday Funday. Be sure to get to the ballpark early every Sunday for the opportunity to have a pre-game catch on the field and also get some autographs from your favorite Bluefish players. As if that wasn’t enough, stick around for the post-game kids run the bases.

The promotional schedule also features a variety of giveaway items including Team Baseball Card Sets, Gym Bags, Bluefish Logo T-Shirts, Baseball Caps, Backpacks, and Blankets. Certain theme nights will highlight the season including Autism Awareness Night, Senior Day, and Breast Cancer Awareness Day. New this year, the Bluefish have also announced over 30 Town Community Days for Southern Connecticut towns and Heritage nights. The complete 2013 promotional schedule can be viewed here.

The Kid Zone at the stadium has tons of games, amusements and activities for kids - there’s even a bouncy house for the little ones who need more than a seventh-inning stretch!
